This page sets out how Nocyam decides what to publish, how we check it, and what we do when we get something wrong. It applies to every article on this site.
Who writes for us
Every article carries a byline. We do not publish anonymously and we do not invent author identities. Where an article covers a specialist subject, the author’s relevant background is stated on their profile.
Editorial responsibility for everything published on Nocyam rests with Maycon da Silva Gonzaga.
How we research
We start from primary sources: published studies, regulator and government guidance, official documentation, and the terms and pricing pages of the products we write about. Where we rely on a specific claim, we link to where it came from, so you can check it yourself.
For health topics, we prefer systematic reviews and meta-analyses over single studies, and we give preference to sources such as peer-reviewed journals and national health bodies. For money topics, we prefer regulators and official consumer guidance over commentary.
What we will not do
- We do not present opinion as established fact.
- We do not claim professional credentials we don’t hold. Nocyam is a publisher, not a financial adviser and not a healthcare provider.
- We do not promise outcomes — not returns on money, not results from a health practice.
- We do not publish content written to rank rather than to inform.

Accuracy and corrections
We make mistakes. When we find one, or you tell us about one, we fix it.
Substantive corrections — anything that changes the meaning or the advice — are noted at the foot of the article with the date and what changed. We do not quietly edit an article to hide an error. Typos and formatting fixes are made without a note.
To report an error, write to [email protected] with the article and the specific claim.
Keeping articles current
Guides about prices, apps, regulations and benefits go out of date. We review articles in these categories periodically and show the date of the last substantive update. If an article is old enough that we can no longer stand behind it, we update it or take it down rather than leave it up.
Sources and attribution
We quote sparingly and attribute clearly. We do not reproduce other publishers’ work, and we do not republish content from elsewhere as our own.
